The FAQ of Waxing

When should I NOT wax?

You should not attempt wax removal if you are on an acne medication such as Accutane or any other skin thinning or blood thinning medications, please consult your doctor or physician if you are in doubt. Waxing while on these medications can cause the skin to lift, causing pain and other issues. We Suggest not waxing any area with varicose veins, sunburn, an STI or contagious skin infection. If you have undergone cosmetic treatments such as chemical peels you may have to wait up to 6 months before it is safe to wax. If you are unsure please ask one of our Estheticians before your appointment

What if I get my period before my appointment?

It’s always best to avoid scheduling your Brazilian waxes while you are menstruating. But we do have freshing wipes, and tampons on hand. So if you really “need a wax now” we will happily accommodate you. But if you prefer to reschedule your appointment we do ask you for 24 hours notice.

Should I get waxed the day before a big event?

If it’s your first time waxing we strongly recommend booking your wax removal treatment 2 or 3 days before any big event (wedding, honeymoon, vacation, photo shoot, etc). Not to worry, we assure you, that you will still be silky smooth for your big event!

How often should I wax?

Most wax worshipers wax every 3-6 weeks. We find that 5 weeks is the magic number for most clients. But we do offer a Brazilian maintenance service, for our Brazilian obsessed clients.

Should I shower right before my appointment?

It’s always nice to feel clean when you come in for an appointment, but we offer Freshing wipes with every bikini, French & Brazilian wax so you don’t have to obsess over it.

Does a Brazilian wax hurt?

There is some level of discomfort during a Brazilian, especially if it’s your first time waxing. But rest assured, we will do everything in our power to make your experience as comfortable as possible. Including a pre-wax numbing lotion, the most superior waxes and the areas best Estheticians.

How long should my hair be?

Your hair should be a 1/4 inch. If the area being waxed is very hairy you can trim it before you come in, but please make sure it is 1/4 inch or slightly longer. Better yet we will trim it before your waxing.

What exactly is a Vajazzle?

The act of applying glitter and jewels to a woman’s nether regions for aesthetic purposes. Vajazzling involves adorning your “top-V” in crystals, stones or a glitter design. This is typically done after getting a full, Brazilian, wax.

What exactly is a Brazilian wax?

A Brazilian wax removes all hair from the pubic area. From the top to the labia & even between the butt cheeks. Many movie stars female and male have become huge fans of Brazilian waxing. “It’s changed my life” ~ states actress Gwyneth Paltrow
